Hello!
A little about me...
Hi there! I'm Jenn, an avid nature lover, artist, project manager, and document specialist.
I recently earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and I'm incredibly proud of this achievement! I've been utilizing these skills in my current role as Planned Giving Specialist at San Jose State University with great success.
I have a B.Sc. in Project Management from Colorado State University with a focus in Emergency Management. I started studying Project Management because I wanted to know how complex and complicated projects could be executed well. Since I started my education I've had the privilege of managing many projects. Recently, my focus has been on large donor events; but I've also managed several platform implementation projects, including an eQMS system (which I was administrator for), a CRM, and an intranet.
Emergency Management is near and dear to my heart. Myself and my two pups are survivors of the deadliest wildfire in California history; the "Camp Fire" that devastated Paradise, CA and the surrounding areas. My dream is to use my Document Control and Project Management skills to mitigate fire danger, and assist with the rebuilding of communities that have been impacted.
My enthusiasm for Project and Emergency Management is equally matched by my knowledge and interest in Document Control. I worked in Document Control for over seven years, and it has been extremely rewarding! Document Control is more than just managing document life cycles, it's also helping to facilitate change management, creating and leading trainings, and working collaboratively and cross-departmentally. I am an expert at making smart PDFs in Adobe Acrobat, and have used html, java script, json, and liquid logic to program documents.
Document Control is a great investment in a company; it's insurance, peace of mind, and saves companies huge amounts of overhead. I love talking about Document Control, if you have any questions please contact me.
When I'm not working, I try to spend as much time as possible hiking, swimming, and just being outside. I'm a nature and wildlife photographer, and I love sharing my adventures on Shutterstock where I have an ever evolving portfolio. All of the photos used on this website are my own originals.
I'm also an artist, and I always have at least one project in the works. I've been painting with acrylics, watercolor, and oils for over ten years. I'm incredibly proud that my work has been featured on Klean Kanteens, Buffs, and Kula Cloths; in collaboration with my favorite non-profit, the Breast Cancer Prevention Partners. Recently, I've started working with resin, and it's been so much fun! After many months of working with resin, I've started sculpting my own models and casting them in silicone so that I can make anything I can imagine- such a cool medium!
